Need help - downloading FI data now says need to create new account?

Hey gang,

I have been tracking my checking account in Quicken for some time. I am currently using Quicken 2008 Deluxe.

This morning I went to download my data since Saturday, and now it brings up a prompt box telling me if I already have a Quicken account established to track select the use this account and choose the account for it to use, or create a new account. Only problem is, the option to select the use this account is grey'd out and I cannot select it, it only has a checkbox in the create new account box and that is obviously not what I want to do.

My bank just revamped part of the online banking website, so not sure if that has something to do with it or not .

Anyone ever run across this before and/or have any ideas on what I might can do to get these transactions to download into my current account?

Thanks for any tips here,

Well I think I got it figured out. I went to edit the checking account in Quicken and compared the account number with what was downloading into Quicken and it was suggesting using to set up the new account, and it was off by one 0. I changed it in my Quicken to match, and it downloaded ok this time. It downloaded a couple of transactions that had already cleared but I was able to deal with those.

I guess must have had something to do with the change in my bank's online banking site...

Just thought I would report back on this issue I was having.

Apparently, when my bank updated it's online banking website, they added another 0 to the front of each of my account numbers that I was downloading into Quicken, via direct connect. I have three checking accounts, and a savings account, that I track my data in quicken and download daily directly from my online bank website. This caused the problem of Quicken saying I needed to create a new account, and would not let me choose the existing account I guess because the account numbers no longer matched up with what was coming down from my bank's newly updated online site.

Each account previously had 4 zeros in front of the actual account number, now they each had 5 zeros in front of the account number. After I added the

5th 0 to the front of each account number, the data downloaded directly into the appropriate account in Quicken just fine.

Just thought I would mention what my issue was in case someone else runs across this problem...
