One Step Update Summary

I have a slight problem in Quicken 09. When I download transactions, the "One Step Update Summary" box always appears at completion of the download, even when I have "show only if there is an error" checked. There are no errors.

How do I fix this little problem?

Thanks Charliec

Does this help? (Warning: you might not like the answer! Don't shoot me, I'm only the messenger)

No, that did not solve the problem - not going to shoot you - will reward you for trying :)

Cannot restore from a previous backup - too many transactions since then - that solution is just not feasible.

Oh well, I will just keep looking - it is obviously a hiccup in the program that Intuit should address.

I have the same problem using Q2008. I have grown used to it, I think. It now tells me when it's finished Often the OSU takes a long time especiall with my Citi MC download.

Don't bother to keep looking. You will never find a solution. You will only find cause to be irritated with Quicken. Intuit has decided that if you do not use and have any transactions on quicken.com, which means they are making money off of you for using that product, you must be making an error. For all the complaints about this Quicken BUG, feature as they would call it, this problem should not exist, but it does.

========================= I figured it was because in Q09 it was the only way I knew that the downloading was done (since I don't see progress info anymore)! ; )

If you have the One Step Update icon in your Quicken toolbar, click on that after you start your One Step Update ... the progress dialog will appear.

[I suspect you could click Online > One Step Update and achieve the same result.]

===================================I had discovered that, but I have two bank downloads that cause the update screen to disappear .. not nearly as stable a situation as it was in the '07 version. However, am coping .. usually find something to do to keep me away from the system for a few minues (grab a cup of coffee, etc.) so as to avoid sitting there staring at a screen waiting impatiently for the results to pop up.
