One Step Update Summary

This summary should appear, by checking the box, only when there is an error. It has been this way for years and years.... Now, it pops up with every update, error or not. I know this issue has been floating around for years, although it just started for me about a week or two ago.

When the popup appears, it's supposed to say, at the bottom of the screen, something like "Show only if there is an error". However, mine says "Show only if there is an err". So I'm wondering, could that be the error --- err instead of error?

Not sure I know what you're your problem is. So I'll just try to eliminate one possibility.

Once you experience a downloading error for a financial instituion (including Quicken.com) during a download ... that error will remain in the "One Step Update Summary" until you clear it by doing a successful download from that same financial istitution. Or until you disable the fi from being able to download.

[If you're not seeing the complete error message, I think your problem is with your operating system, and the drivers for your hardware.]

I've been seeing this ever since upgrading to Q11. There are no errors showing and the "Only show if there are errors.." box is checked. I just assumed that it was a bug introduced with Q11.

I had hoped Q11 would have fixed this issue. It has been with me since almost forever. I am regarding it as a minor annoyance.

FWIW... with the "Only show if there are errors" box checked, Qkn Deluxe

2010 on my Vista PC shows the OSU summary only when there is an error.

No - it's been around for years. I thought 2011 fixed it when I first installed it, but the screen came back.

IIRC, the Q11 bug was to turn on quicken.com, which then caused an error if you weren't using quicken.com. The quicken web site now has instructions on various ways of clearing the error. But what I did was to allow an upload something trivial to quicken.com to clear the error and then turn it off.
