Open files on another mac?

Help! I installed quickbooks 2007 for mac on the office computer for my boss and so far so good. However, my my boss has now used the same disk to install quickbooks on her computer at home and cannot get the qb files to open. I thought as long as the user is the same (it's registered to her) that we would have the abillitey to install and view all data on multiple computers. Am I wrong? Is there a step we are missing? She installed quickbooks and then opened the qb files (which are saved on our server) from her home computer and nothing happens - just the spinning wheel of death. What am I missing here? It works at the office. All help/suggestions/insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks! :-) Jen

It shouldn't be the installation. My guess is there's a network issue. Can your boss open other types of files easily over the network? Can she copy the files directly to her local hd to verify they'll open for her?

Yes, she can open other types of files. I'll have her try to save qb files to her local hd and see if it works from there. Thanks :)
