To the OP: whether or not upgrading to the latest version is "worth" it to you is completely up to you. Is there one feature you'd pay the upgrade price just to have? Are there several features you wanted to see and that could really save you time and/or frustration?

Take a look at the 2005 package info on QB's website and then decide if upgrading is worth it to you. At this point I'd say likely not because we'll be seeing 2006's release before too long.

I didn't think there was that much difference. I'd hold for 06 and see what that holds.

I'm willing to bet that less than 1% of QB users ever use the Import/Export features.

The 2006 version is being touted as "vastly different" from the 2005 version. This, I suggest, is another reason to hang on.

Looking through the list of changes made in a version is helpful in deciding whether any changes relevant to you have been made, but the list never seems to be complete - and of course it does not list anything that was right but was "fixed" in the new version and now no longer works properly. So it makes sense to ask other users what their experience with the new version has been.

Personally, I tend to find it quite adequate to upgrade every three years or so. But if I were to see a new feature that is important to me in a new version, or the correction of a defect that particularly bugs me, that would be sufficient reason to cause me to buy that upgrade.
