QB Pro 2002 - Display Qty Totals on Invoice

I have a client that wants to be able to display a total for the Quantity column on the company invoice. For example, if the customer orders 1 of item A and 2 of item B, the total quantity of the order would be equal to 3. The client is willing to upgrade to another version of QuickBooks Pro, if this feature is available or purcahse an add-on product to accomplish this.

Thanks,

Joe G. Dearborn, MI

It took some searching, but I found an application that works for this scenario. The program is called "Formcalc" and must be running when QuickBooks is opened. It did require some setup time and the calculation isn't automatic, but it only requires a few key strokes to get the results. The "Formcalc" program is shareware and you can get more information at

Looks like an interesting solution.

Where did it say it was shareware? I see that you can download a free trial version otherwise I could not see that is free software.

That's the definition of 'shareware:' Free to try, buy to use.

Laura,

"Shareware" is not "Freeware". There is a charge for the program, but you get to use it for 30 days to see if it is worth the registration cost ($59). For my cleint's needs, this is a deal. He doesn't have to purchase a new version of QuickBooks.

There is freeware, begware, shareware, demoware, and commercial. Freeware is free period. Begware is free but begs for a donation. Shareware distributes free but you have to pay to get full functions. Demoware is shareware that stops functioning at a set time period unless you pay. Commercial is pay first.

Least ways that seems to work most of the time.

Hey, don't forget the ever popular VAPORWARE. Software that is not yet in production, but the announced delivery date has long since passed. At times, software vendors are criticized for intentionally producing vaporware in order to keep customers from switching to competitive products that offer more features.
