Just started to notice that when I am ready to shut down QB for the day, I do a backup. As soon as the backup is completed it asks me if I want to do a backup!

There is a setting which asks if you want to backup after N number of closes. Adjust it in your preferences.
Best,
Peter
Annoying isn't it? For some reason making a manual backup does not register with the process to make automatic backups.
Either change the setting to never remind you or to make the backup with every use.
I seem to recall that there are additonal processes with the automatic backup so it is recommended that one use that process over the manual backup process.

Ok Thanks for confirming that Laura. This is the time of the year (HOA) stuff that there is a large # of invoicing and payments received. Manual backups a lot during the day. Next month, activity will slow down (except for the deadbeats). :o(
Gotta love those deadbeats....I'm dealing with a 2800+ unit timeshare association right now. Annual payments coming in faster than the bookkeeper can process them.
