Backups

How do you get Quicken to automatically back up on a particular day? For instance, I just want the automatic backup to work on Sunday, after I shut down. I'm using Q09.

Thanks in advance.

I don't think Quicken can do that. However there is an excellent freebie that can do that for any file on your machine. Check out Karen's Replicator, one of Karen's Powertools:

You can get free automatic scheduled online backups from Mozy - offsite backups are an important part of a good backup strategy.

I don't think I made myself clear. When you set Quicken to have 2 backups (within settings), it backs itself up, I think weekly when you shut Quicken down. How do you get "those" backups to happen on a particular day?

You have no control over what day of the week Quicken makes its automatic backups; nor do you have any control of the frequency of those backups (which is about once a week, depending on how frequently you run Quicken).

Which is why I suggested Mozy, which you can tell to automatically backup your Quicken data every Sunday.

[Quicken's auto-backup behavior is changed in Q2010; where you *must* specify the frequency ... and you must specify it as the number of times running Quicken. So you can tell Quicken to do its auto-backup after every time you run Quicken, or every 2 times you run Quicken, etc.. Still no way to specify day of the week though.]
