How do I fill down an amount or a name or anything that is the same?? Highlite-copy-paste works but its a pain. Is there a fill down button?? Like 10 deposits to same bank, how do I copy the name of the bank without using the auto fill?? Even works has a fill down option!!!
Bunno what the difference is with a more modern QB copy, but when I do my daily deposits in QB2004 it's as simple as filtering transaction type e.g, Mastercard+Visa then click select all, double check total matches with credit card terminal print out then deposit to required account.
about 3 clicks.
Same for other types (Maestro,Solo,Switch) select all then un-tick the cash sales.
Then do the cash sales that are left and put them into a different account.
It's not a problem even with 30 or 40 or more daily transactions. Never needed a "spreadsheet" feature.
Have you tried "proper" copy & paste? i.e. ctrl+c (copy) then ctrl+v (paste) once something is on the clipboard you couldsurely just use the down arrow to thnext fl then ctrl+v and so on.
I'm not really sure what you're after though as I's not something I've ever felt I needed.
Copy and Paste did not work but your proper copy and paste did work. Now on a deposit with 5-10 payments from same vendor I can fill down the Received From column "controlC then Control V" . I knew about that "proper" copy and paste but I did not think to try it. Thanks Larry
Glad tohave been of help Larry. I am always forgetting to use keyboard copy/paste myself. It's soo much quicker but current habits are hard to get out of.
Sorry about dodgy text. I have an RF connected keyoard that regularly misses key storkes when typing a bitfaster. :¬) Pete
or even that the RF dongle plugged into a USB port is somehow struggling, or even that the RF keyboard may have dropped to a threshold point of the batteries giving a weak signal. Compared to IR wireless keyboard the RF/USB dongle is complete pants. At least IR either works 100% or fails 100%.
