Can this scenario work in QuickBooks Premier

I am trying to work out a means of tracking stock using U/M for different suppliers.

On the buying side, we purchase the same thing from different suppliers, one with a 20kg pack, the other with a 25kg pack, and the items are sold in 1kg packs.

We want to have our own 25kg pack which is the root level item for stock management. What we want to do is to create a U/M with the 25kg pack as 1 unit, the 20kg pack as 0.8 unit and the sale pack as 0.04 unit, but the item Nos will be different for all 3

When we add stock from the 2 different suppliers will it adjust the stock level for our own item, and will selling do the converse?

As the sold item is U/M against our own stocking item, it shouldn't affect the stock levels for the purchased items, just our own stock levels. Will that work in QB Premier.

If the smallest unit the item is sold in is 1kg packs then the root level should be 1kg. Then all that is required are 20kg and 25kg units of measure added to a killogram UM Set List. Why add an additional level of complexity using fractional qualties when whole numbers will accomplish the same thing. Keep it simple.
