Okay, this is a little strange. A few months ago i accidentally deleted a cleared check for $1437.91. So my opening balance was off by this amount. Thanks to expert advice from this group, I corrected the problem by re-entering that amount, and clearing it through its own reconciliation. Now my checking account is fine.
But today I'm trying to reconcile my credit card, and it's off by the same amount! I want to stress that the correction I made was with my checking account only. How do I fix this?
