I recently asked whether there was a way to convert my Q-Win file to a Q-Mac file (or vice versa). Got some pretty discouraging answers.
Then it occurred to me, can the backup file be used to switch batween Q-Win and Q-Mac?
Can Backups be used to go from Q-Win <> Q-Mac?

I concur, entirely, with Bartt. Those are the ONLY way to do what you want. A Q Win backup is still a Q win data file ... likewise for Q Mac backups. They are in NO way interchangeable.
What's more, while you can convert your data from Q Win format to Q Mac format (with more than a little work), the Q Mac to Q Win conversion is broken ... and just doesn't work.
