Can Quicken handle multiple accounts from one bank?

Indeed! That's why Q has BOTH a "Financial Institution" and an "Account Number" field on the set up panels.

re/"SO, your reply is not only really late ... it's plain wrong!!!"...you were a lot more charitable that I would have been in replying to this!

I'm very confused. I have three USAA accounts and there's no problem with having the correct transactions going into the right account. The download only runs once per FI, regardless of how many accounts.

Arthur, there's nothing to be confused about. ggitchel12 is just plain wrong. Ignore what he wrote.

I have 2 checking accounts at the same bank, and have for going on 20 years.

reset one then reset the other. It might work with a separate login for eac h account, but that seems crazy for software that has been around since roc ks were used as exchange.O

rong. Ignore what he wrote.

He is not wrong... I have been having this issue and constant resets since I decided to add a separate checking account for my son at college. One dow nloads the other faults and needs to be reset. Have stopped using quicken f or secondary account and just manage it on the banks site. Each account is set up with a unique account number.

I have 5 accounts with one bank, 3 checking and 2 saving. I also have 6 accounts with a broker. They all download with OSU with no problem. Have been doing that for many, many years.

5 accounts at one bank? Sounds like a LOT of service charges.

Service charges are zero because I meet their minimum requrements

I suspect the linkage between OSU and the actual Quicken account is corrupt. I'd disconnect all the accounts, then relink them.

Well, I'm using Quicken Home & Business 2018 (Windows) and have 3 business accounts at Wells Fargo which, as in the 11 year old message, I have to reset each account when I need to download transactions - It recognizes only the last account that I reset.

No, he is not wrong. I have the same issue with Wells Fargo Bank. I'm using the recent version of Quicken Home & Business.

This is a WELLS FARGO issue ... not a Quicken issue. I've already demonstrated that you can have multiple accounts, tracked in Q, at a single bank/card/etc. In addition to what I wrote above, I've also got 2 separate card accounts at Chase.

Claims that Q can only handle 1 account per bank are JUST PLAIN WRONG, and intentionally, wrong.

I don't know whether it's intentionally wrong, but I'll my voice to yours saying it's wrong. I've had two BA accounts in Quicken for years. It works fine.

I think you have something setup incorrectly. Perhaps you entered the same account number for each account? I have multiple USAA, Fidelity and Citi accounts. All are downloaded correctly into their respective Quicken account at the same time. Note that it is important to map the accounts correctly when setting up the online connection in Quicken.

I have had multiply accounts with WF for many years with no problems.

Is there some confusion about the meaning of "account". It is well established that Q will support multiple accounts for a single customer at a financial institution. (I have 4 accounts at WF, 4 at Fidelity, 2 at BoA). But for each institution, I have only one set of customer credentials (userid/password.)

Does Q support 2 or more different userIds at a single institution? I don't think, but I may be wrong.

I think you are right about the definition of "Accounts". It looks like there is one LOGIN "account" acceptable to WF" and Quicken. Once you login, you can set up any number of accounts which Quicken will recognize as being separate accounts.

Quicken does support 2 or more different userids at a single institution. (I use 2 userids at 4 Direct Connect and 2 Web Connect institutions.)

The accounts that I track at US Bank include 2 in my name (previously 3) and 1 in my wife's name. Different Login ID's at the bank.

The accounts that I track at Fidelity Investments include 3 in my name (previously 5) and 2 in my wife's name. Different Login ID's.

Q can DEFINITELY handle both multiple accounts and mutiply Login ID's at the same bank/card/brokerage/etc.

Any statement to the contrary is simply WRONG!
