Combine two checking accounts?

Greetings,

Just getting into Quicken 2006 here. I've set up checking account and entered transactions. Then today I downloaded more transactions from my bank, but to my dismay discover that a second account has been created, "US Bank Online," which has the latest transactions in a separate account. So now I have two checking accounts in Quicken, where I want just one.

I screwed up somewhere; now I get to correct it. Search on help for "combine accounts" turns up nothing.

Advice appreciated on how I go about combining these two accounts in Quicken, and avoiding this problem in the future.

TIA,

Mark Hammer Lake Oswego, Oregon, U.S.

in the account that was wrongly created. Click on the first transaction. Scroll down to the last trasnaction and hold down Shift while clicking on it. Now right-click anywhere in the selected area and then click on Move Transaction(s)...

What could be easier?

On second thoughts. It would be easier to rectify the issue that prevented downloading into your first account, delete the 2nd account and simply download again into the first account.
