Converting from a Quicken for MAC to Windows

Another post. Our current treasurer has a MAC and is running Q 2007. I had asked about updating to 2011 the other day as I forgot he had one of those "other" machines.

Anyway, has anyone done a conversion from a MAC file to a PC based file? I found the instructions on the Quicken site but I always like to talk to people who have had experience.

Thanks

Mr. Jan

Why convert to PC? You could upgrade to the latest Mac version for under $50.

I'm not sure how well a conversion from the mac to PC version of quicken will be. I know for quickbooks it usually messes things up and Intuit actually provides a conversion tool. The database structures are different which makes converting difficult.

You *might* be able to export the mac data to qif file and import it into the PC version. That would be something you should research. I don't know what the exporting options are with the mac.
