I'm using 2009 Premier. Is there a simple way to edit the "cost basis per share" block of one security?
I don't know what I did that caused me to have a blank in that column of one security. TIA

How did you create/record your acquisition of the particular security in the first place?
Can't you just go back and edit that transaction?
db
It's an old security with reinvest dividends over 8 years...all the info was downloaded from Schwab directly into Quicken.....any ideas? TIA
Yes. Find your original statement confirmations for the initial purchase. Find each quarterly statement (or however the frequent the dividends are paid) and verify each transaction. Do the same thing for any sales. Correct the incorrect transactions. I wouldn't trust my Broker with the cost basis information.
If you have the records, it should take you less than one hour to reconcile the data.

Have you tried recalculating the the investment account "register"?
Place your cursor in the Transaction List of the account, hold down CTRL and press "Z".
[Backup first.]Thank you Oilcan and John Pollard......John your suggestion didn't work so I'm doing what Oilcan recommended....I have the time and the paperwork. Thanks again to you both.
