Costco AMEX to Citi switch

I started up my PC this AM expecting to spend many hours trying to make stuff work.....

I'd already received my Citi card to replace the AMEX card and had gone on-line with Citi to register it.

Today, June 20, the AMEX card is supposed to stop working and the Citi card begins to function so....

Went back on-line to Citi, created a user name and password, that worked OK, opened Quicken and clicked on new account, credit card, clicked on Citi, entered username and password and...

It worked! Downloaded the previous 8 months of transactions from the AMEX card, showed the correct balance ($0.00 because I pay the card off every month and had not used it since paying it off) and the correct rewards points.

So all went smoothly, people at AMEX, Citi and Quicken seemed to know what they're doing and left no problems for me or you folks to solve.

What's the fun in that?

I assume you first went to the citi web site and linked your costco card to your citi id.

Update: I'd purchased something from Amazon.com with the AMEX card and had to return it, today the refund showed up on my Citi card!

GOOD GOING, AMEX and Citi!

After everything going as smooth could be I hit a minor snag...

Today I received my first statement from Citi and tried to reconcile it. I found 3 transactions had NOT downloaded into Quicken, manually entering them allowed me to balance but why were they not downloaded? One was several days old so it should have downloaded two - three days ago.

Weird.

We'll see what happens next month....
