I noticed that there are various years from '98 to 2006 available on Ebay. The earlier years are much less expensive. Does it matter which one I buy. I'm not going to be a power user, just someone who wants to get all his finances in the same place.
One of the greates features of Quicken that helps users to organize their finances is the ability to download statements directly into Quicken. This facility has an expiry date of 3 years, versions older than 2003 is past the expiry date - Quicken 2003 expires the 25th of April I think.
Of particular benefit to users of less progressive Financial Institutions is a facility known as QIF import. QIF is an old import format that has been progressively excluded from Quicken veersions starting with Quicken 2005. If your FIs offer only QIF imports, you may want to consider not looking at versions past 2004.
