Sigh :-(
Did it on two accounts... no issues.
Hi, Art.
Yes - but it's different this time. My usual One-Step Update at about 5 pm (CST) got me nothing. Then I opened the Portfolio window and clicked Download Quotes - and that worked! I got today's quotes. But no News icons appeared. Just a few minutes ago (about 8:45 pm CST) I tried the OSU again - unsuccessfully. :>(

Wonder if the quote downloads have anything to do with the latest MS IE Explorer XP updates. Could not get quote updates on two XP machines but no issue with a Win 98SE machine?
Hi, MedRxman.
Don't think so. For about a month now, I've been running Vista x86 build
5744 (RC2), which includes IE7, and have no trouble getting the updates most days. The only days that I've had trouble are when others were also reporting problems here. I've also run the IE7 beta on WinXP many times in the past few months with similar results.I just tried the OSU again a few minutes ago (about 9:30 pm CST) and was unsuccessful. Again, after the OSU completed, a window popped up - the One Step Update Summary window where I had checked the box to "Show this dialog only if there is an error". Normally, this window does not appear after the OSU. The bottom line in the window is for Quicken.com and it had a symbol that I don't recognize. My guess is that it was trying to tell me that it could not connect to Quicken.com.
I've not researched this and probably won't. Intuit will get it fixed (eventually) without my help. Until then, I'll suffer (mostly) in silence. :>{
