Eliminate need for password for One Step Update?

Hi All,

I run quicken on Windows and Quicken on my Mac.

How do I remove the password requirement on the PC? I can do a OSU without a password on the Mac, but the PC prompts me for my Vault password.

Thanks :)

Accessing the Password Vault is required on Windows when we using the Direct Connect connection method. If you're willing to eliminate your use of this connection method, you may avoid having to provide the Password Vault password. Alternatively, you may use a password manager to provide the Password Vault password.

As pointed out by Sherlock, there are ways to get around it in Quicken for Windows, but what you are asking for is a change in the Windows OS. Quicken for Mac is able to bypass the password because of a Mac OS feature, not a difference in Quicken. I use a password manager to provide the capability that the Mac OS has and Windows lacks.

Darn, thanks. Was hoping to be able to eliminate it but I guess not without removing DC :(
