Fidelity Problem

Oct 01, 2009 1 Replies

This has me stumped. Every so often, lately about every three months, all six of our accounts at Fidelity Investments lose their ability to update. I'll run one-step update and Quicken goes through the motions, but always concludes with no updates.

In order to receive the updates, I must edit the account by deactivating and then reactivating one-step update. I do this for each of the six accounts. Everything works fine for awhile, until it happens again.

I currently use Quicken H&B 2009, but this also happened in the past with H&B 2007.

Has anyone heard of any reports regarding this?

Thanks, Jessie

I've never had that problem with just Fidelity. When I get Quicken wedged like that, all updates from all financial instituions stop working.

I do not know the exact voodoo which gets things working again, but I never have to edit accounts.

Usually, exiting quicken, killing qw.exe from Task Manager, and then manually downloading some random bank from Online Center will clear things.

Occasionally though, it takes me many iterations to get things working again. It's at times like that I really hate how shoddy Intuit's products have become since, oh 2002 or so.
