I just "upgraded" from 2008 to 2011. In 2008, there were two find searches. ctrl-f (which i never used) would, IIRC, set the search field to whatever field was selected. ctrl-i, which corresponded to the search button over the register, would remember what you had set the search field to - in my case almost always payee, for the next search.
In 2011, ctrl-i is gone. ctrl-f always sets the search field to "all fields", and you have to change it every darn time!
Note that the quick search auto fill in as you type doesn't work with "all fields", so you really loose something by not changing it.
Am I missing something?
