Very Slow OSU for AT&T Universal Card

Recently, OSU is taking 5 minutes to get through updating my AT&T Universal credit card - mostly being stuck on "updating financial institution". It eventually updates successfully.

I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing this problem and possibly had a solution.

I'm running Q2010 Premier on Windows XP.

Thanks for any insight you can provide.

I have a dial up connection using Q 2010 and XP. I experience a long time to "update financial institutions" and a long time and repeatedly "send on line payment instructions", even when no on line payments are to be made. Why do the "financial institutions" have to be updated? I, obviously am using the institution I link to.

Same here with Q10 H&B & Vista. I've had intermittent problems almost all week but sometimes it works OK. I've been fine today.

Looks to me like it might be work on their website, denial-of-service attacks, or simply network congestion.

Unfortunately, it seems to be a global list it must download whenever there is any financial institution change. Given the state of banks, there are probably tons of changes as more and more are closed or merged. Some may also withdraw from Quicken support due to money issues.

Unforutunately, instead of using an open standard, Quicken uses their own with ID codes in it so they can shut it down when your version gets too old, or a bank decides to not pay for it.
