AT&T Universal Card Download/Update - Need Suggestions

Aug 01, 2006 4 Replies

Using Quicken Deluxe 2004 I can download and update accounts from several financial institutions with no problem. However in the case of my AT&T Universal Card (Citibank) the Quicken Onestep update says the institution doesnt recognize the username/pin.

Using the same username/pin I can get it to work if I deactivate/reactivate each time I try and log on. I can also log on directly from the IE browser to the AT&T Universal card URL.

I have contacted Quicken, they say it's an AT&T problem. I've contacted AT&T and they say everything is working OK at their end. Yet the problem persists.

Although I can get a download from AT&TUniversal Card I can olly get it direct from their site or by deactivate/reactivate from Quicken.

Has anyone any thoughts on how to correct this problem?

Don't know answer to your question, but for some reason AT&T informed me that my account would be closed at the end of July. Nothing to do with my payment record which was excellent. Maybe cause I paid it off each month and carried no balance.

Me and a host of others as well. A quick call to CITIBANK who is behind the AT&T rewards card and it was an easy transfer to their Dividend Select card with similar features - 5% cash back for Gas & Groceries.

So why didn't they just transfer the account? or at least tell us it was available?? I have a similar deal with my Visa card at Chase, so nuts to Citi.

I would think it is a separate company thing - AT&T wanted you to stay with them with their "new" rewards card. CITI probabily can't offer to AT&T clients - hey - come over here! - I am sure it's in their contract that they can't steal customers. There wasn't any issue since I asked for it.
