Billminder problems in 2008

I'm running Quicken deluxe 2008, R 7, on a Windows Professional 2000 machine. Billminder starts whenever I start up the computer, despite the fact that I have it turned off in Start Menu > Programs > Quicken



2008 > Billminder > Options. I have also turned off all alerts. In fact, I have never put any scheduled payments or alerts or anything like it into the program. How do I get the bloody thing to stop coming up whenever I start my machine? Can I edit my boot file somehow?

You can try this:

[Windows Task Bar] Start > Run > (key "msconfig") > OK > Startup

Make sure there is no checkmark alongside "Billminder".

Thanks John -- it worked. Unfortunately, it also turned off the other start-up tasks I have assigned.... any ideas on a work-around for that?
