A shotgun discharged at the hard drive will usually achieve your desired results.
(Now, if you want a somewhat more useful response ... provide some information that we can work with).

First of all, make a backup and store that fileset off site (or at least on another computer or DVD).
Secondly, make another backup set.
Now: Select (a portion of) all the transactions you want to delete. Use the "regular" Windows selecting rules: Click on the first transaction, then hold down the shift key and click on the last one OR Click on the first transaction then hold down the control key and click on each of the other transactions (if they are not consecutive on the screen)
Hold your hands off the keyboard, and take a deep breath (you have backups, right?) Now hold down control and hit D (or right click and choose from the menu).
Remeber, there is no undo, so backups are your friends!

Thanks, Han.
I've always had problems when I forget and use the Windows selection methods and didn't try that before posting the question.
