I need to send out to various people Investment Portfolio Value Reports
I am not sure which version destroyed the report BUT now it shows closed securities which makes the report worthless.
Anyone know the last version the report worked on so I can use that to get the reports or any way to filter out the not currently held securities?
Quicken has been non-responsive on this Core feature that is broken.

I'm assuming you're referring to the report that can be generated from the Investing > Portfolio screen
I don't think there is anything wrong with the report.
To filter out closed lots, click the "Options" gear-wheel icon in the upper right of the Portfolio display and uncheck "Show closed lots".
That option has been in Quicken since at least Q2004 - for twenty years at least.
It does appear that some new releases of Quicken have altered settings in Quicken, something that should not happen. But it does not seem to happen to everyone: I'm using R565.9 and my Portfolio closed lot option has never been changed by any new release.

I am talking about:
Reports Menu Investing/Potfolia Value
The report that comes up always showed actual current holdings as porfolio value
It is now showing all ever owned lots instead of the expected current holdings
Not talking about portfolio tab, this is strictly the reports section. I was told on regular forums it was a known issue BUT I only see a few posts and no eveidence it is being fixed as a big issue for me.
Actually, I managed to get a higher up to call me and they said it is a known issue they are working on.
Not sure if it effects everyone BUT I have 4 data files that all have the bug.

Sorry, I forgot that Quicken added the Show Lots button to that report.
I've never shown lots on that report, so I can't comment on any possible changes.

It's unlikely that you will get any evidence.
You should be able to produce an equivalent report with no closed lots showing from the Investing > Portfolio screen.
Use File > Print Portfolio (or CTRL+p) to print it.
I actually found the source of the problem and reported it to them. (I can recreate in new test file easily)
It is incorrectly listing closed lots of all Short sales that were covered.
I guess thats why not widely reported as most people dont do many short sales and use that report.
