Issue with cost basis

Nov 15, 2009 1 Replies

Hello,

I just reconciled by 401(k) account in Fidelity, after receiving last purchases, and suddenly, the cost basis went to zero! And it was the second time. The first time was when I imported the data from a QIF file from Money.

The first time I fixed it by editing the first transaction for every security, and without changing anything, hitting enter. It worked then, and it worked now... but this will be a pain! Apparently, it only happens when I reconcile the account, so I guess I won't reconcile it again.

Is that a known bug? Has anyone else suffered it?

Thanks!!

Perhaps related, as I've written here waaay in the past is the register's occasional failure to keep a correct running total. I've spent many a frustrating hour trying to balance whatever account until I discovered Quicken apparently can not add/subtract. This with 2006 & 2009. The work-around? Close the program, reopen & oila! everything is correct.
