Quicken doesn't offer much in the way of prices for foreign securities. If you can find a source that will give you a properly formatted comma delimited file of those prices, Quicken can import prices from .csv files.

Thanks John.

Is there a template or layout for this please? Under the circumstances, it will have to do.

In Quicken > Help > Search Quicken help, key "import", click "Ask", select, "How do I import data into Quicken?", and keep opening appropriate links and you will see the format for a comma delimited file of prices and how to import it.

Note: you will have to assign ticker symbols to your Quicken securities (that you want to import prices for) even if they do not have tickers in the real world (any unique text should do). The .csv file must use the same ticker as your Quicken security.

I managed to import historical prices for a particular security. Quicken said "30 items imported". I can see the correct value of the security but when I try and view the graph of prices, no graph line is displayed although other securities show the graphs of past prices. Any views please?

To see what prices actually got imported for that security, select the security in the Security Detail View and click Update > Edit Price History.

If there was something wrong with the dates in the .csv file, Quicken may have imported all the prices for "today" [or "Date (if not specified):" in the Import Price Data dialog.]
