Mail login failed

Huh? What mail need you log into? I'm using HTML format, As File Attachment with Email to set to an email address - just like I have been using for the last year. Normally my email client compose window is brought up and I just need to hit send (I use Thunderbird - have for years - didn't have a problem before).

I cannot, for the life of me figure out what kind of mail login is it thinking about. Normally email doesn't "log into" a server until *after* you hit the send button when it then contacts your outgoing SMTP host and may do some authentication.

Anybody experience this problem and have a work around?

BTW - post using *HTML* vs plain text :-P

Of course I update my Windows system and install software. I suspect it might be TB 1.5. Still, nothing else has a problem calling up a TB compose window. Intuit not following standards again.

It really should be quite a standard option. I changed my default email client to Outlook Express (Yuck) - same problem.
