moving a single account from one computer to another

I've got 4 checking accounts and 2 savings accounts in quicken 2000. I want to put just ONE of those accounts in quicken on another computer. Is there a way to export just a single account without copying the entire file and putting IT on there?

thanks

Steve:

I think it would be easier to copy the entire file, then delete the unnecessary accounts. You could even copy the trimmed file into another name to eliminate any future confusion.

Hi, Steve.

Sure. Export that one account to a QIF file, then Import that into the other Quicken file.

I'm using Q2007 and the clicks are simply File | Export | QIF, then choose the Account to Export from. Q2000 may be slightly different.

Yes, you can.

The word "supported" is misleading in this context. Fact: you can still import qif files to all account types in Q2007 (and Q2006 and Q2005).
