Jan 11, 2013 3 Replies

Want to enter a new mutual fund and have it show in account bar and portfolio. Used be real easy. Hit add account, tell it type and in thirty second was done.

When try to add an account now, it has brokerage, Ira, 401c, etc. it does not have way to add my single fund.

Tried adding security but it ended up not being in account bar or portfolio .

Help please for a confused eighteen year cQ user.

You shouldn't confuse a security with an account ... even if it is a "single mutual fund" account ... named for the one security it can hold.

The ability to create a Single Mutual Fund account still exists, the process is just a bit different.

Create a "Brokerage" account. On the last dialog box in the process, you'll be asked if you want the account to be a single mutual fund account.

I'm pretty sure that's also the way I have created accounts & entries for tracking "manual" investments... ie - our son's 529 college account - which is online, but only for viewing acct info & daily portfolio prices life ins account from parents - their life ins payout is in an ongoing MM acct I track via statements
