New Version - Old Problem (with an added twist)

Sep 22, 2005 0 Replies

The problem I am about to describe has been going on since the 20th century and has continued through four versions of Quicken. Each time I update I hope it will have been solved. Each time I am disappointed. This time not only did it not go away, it got worse.

Have three checking accounts in same bank (A, B, C). Each Friday I do an online transfer of $50 from A to each of B and C. Due to weekend, etc, the transactions are normally included in my Tuesday download for all three accounts. On all three acounts when I accept the transactions the transactions do not get marked as cleared. All other transactions in the download do but these do not.

Premier 2006 now makes it worse. When I go to clear them manually as I have been doing for six years, it insists that I change the date to the date I am clearing it and so I lose the actual date of the transaction.

I have validated and copied the accounts many times over the years to no avail whatsoever.

This is not good. There is enough in the new version that I like that I will not go back to Q2004, but this is not something that I should have to live with.
