I had to reinstall everything on my new computer so I transferred my Quicken Deluxe 2008 files to another computer, then reinstalled Quicken on the new machine. When I try to load the backed up files it is telling me that the QDF file is from a newer version of Quicken. Huh?
Do you need to have all the same patches installed before you can restore the backup?

Yup, that was it. Don't know why R5 didn't get downloaded the second time during the reinstall. I removed Quicken and installed a third time and it got R5 ok. Thanks loads for the responses. Mike
