Online Payees.

I've lost all my online payees. Is there a file I can use to retrieve this list, since I have a few older backup files in existence .

Thanks John

Loading thread data ...

Many billpayers have your online payees stored on their servers, and you can synchronize with them using Quicken.

Try a One Step Update with nothing checked for download.

If that doesn't do the trick, post back.

Bank says they're stored here. I did find the complete list [complete up to that date anyway], in a backup. Is it possible to JUST bring that list up and copy it to my latest file set. I am computer literate !

When you post such problems, it's often helpful to include the name of the financial institution.

[You lose nothing by trying to sync your online payees ... if the billpayer doesn't carry them, all that happens is that you don't get them downloaded.]

If it is certain that your billpayer (not necessarily your bank, if you use, say, Quicken Billpay) does not carry the online payees, I think you have no choice but to revert to a Quicken backup, or to manually re-enter the online payees.

[But: A long shot: make a Quicken Copy of your data, then Validate that Copy, then open that Copy and see if the online payees are there.]

Financial Institution is Wachovia Bank

Don't know how to sync them. Any help?

I'll probably do this, but it's a pain. I was just trying to save myself some work. If it is certain that your billpayer (not necessarily your bank,

I'm going to try the bank route again tomorrow. I wasn't too impressed with the person I talked to today.

Thanks for the Suggestions though John

The usual way, I believe, is what I first suggested: do a One Step Update with nothing checked to be downloaded.

A possible alternative:

Online > Online Center

Hold down CTRL while clicking "Contact Info"; select your fi in the Account dropdown; click in the Online Payees box; click Refresh.

Then click Update/Send.

BUT: if your fi does not store a copy of your online payees on their server, "synching" won't work. Still, as I said, it can't hurt to try.

Without trying the Copy/Validate?

I forgot to ask: can you create a billpay transaction using only Wachovia's web site? If so, they must have your online payees on their server.

I just thought of another question: have you checked to see if you still have Online Billpay "activated" for Wachovia?

On the Overview tab of the Wachovia account, click the "Change Online Services" button to see the current activiation status of online billpay, and to re-activate it, if necessary.

In fact, if it is already "activated", you could try deactivating it, then re-activating it.

ALL IS SAVED. I TRIED EVERYTHING, NOTHING WORKED. ACCORDING TO THE BANK, A COPY IS ON THERE SERER, AND THEY'D BE HAPPY TO MAIL ME THE LIST. THAT' ALL THEY COULD DO, SO I STARTED FROM SCRATCH.!!!! I MADE ONE ONLINE PAYMENT, SENT IT FROM THE ONLINE CENTER, AND VOILA THE LIST WAS UPDATED. I THINK THEY ARE BIG MONEY PEOPLE TOO. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP, AND NOW YOU HAVE ANOTHER SOLUTION TO ADD TO YOUR DATA. I HAVE NO IDEA WHY THIS WOULD NOT WORK UNDER "SYNCHRONIZE"

THANKS AGAIN JOHN PS: I USE ALL CAPS TO DIFFERENTIATE THIS MESSAGE FROM ALL THE OTHERS AND REPLIES. THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR EFFORTS.
