Problem with online update - Schwab

My account with Charles Schwab recently forced me to switch my log on ID & password. I had no problem updating all transactions into my register prior to this change. I did as they asked & am now able to log in directly on their website with the new credentials. However not so with the Q 16. I went to account settings, changed my user name & PW but it asks me for a password every time. I disabled online, closed the program opened it up & re-enabled it. Still gives me the same error. The strangest part is it presents a screen to enter PW but there is no field on the screen for the PW just the account name. I called Schwab due to being locked out from all the failures & they blamed the software since I can log in fine via browser. I am also experiencing the red flag bug prior to this. I think the software is still using my prior user id or pw. Any help? I'm really losing patience with this program that has worked flawlessly for years prior. Thanks

Try Deactivating the Schwab account(s) -- all of them, if more than one -- and re-activating. When doing so, when Q asks how to associate the Online account(s) with the Q accounts ... be SURE to select LINK (NOT the default ADD)
