Q crashing when ''

Anyone else have this issue? On QD 2019 R14.23 (most current). Trying to modify my asset allocation selections.

Drop down "INVESTING"->"INVESTING TOOLS"->"ASSET ALLOCATION GUIDE". Selection "HOW DO I REBALANCE MY PORTFOLIO" on left nav bar.

Move the cursor inside the "ACTUAL" graph, and left click to bring up drop down window. Select "CUSTOMIZE CURRENT ALLOCATION". (That should bring up a window where you get to select specific portfolio items to include in the graph that you want the allocation suggestions to be made from).

BAM! Q crashes.

I have the Windows 10 October update installed and I have no instability with Quicken.

Ken, did you go through the scenario above? I just also did this on my main PC (with the same failure, the original post reflected my laptop), so it's not just a partiular PC issue I have.

Yes, I see the problem. I don't think Windows is involved: I have Windows 7.

If you just want to "Customize Asset Allocation", go to the Investing tab, select the "Allocations" sub-tab, and choose the desired Accounts and Securities from the two dropdowns.

If you want to report the problem to Quicken, I suggest you either start a discussion in the Quicken Community and explain the problem there, and/or contact Quicken Support.

No, I had never done that before, but I just tried it. No crashing.

I do OSU every morning. No problems.

Ah--Quicken Canada. I use the USA version. Perhaps your problems are only in your version.

If you're going to be performing "Express Web Connect" downloads against a backup copy of your data file, I suggest you establish distinct server-side caches for the "Express Web Connect" state for each of the data files. The simplest way to acheive this is to deactivate the "Online Services" all of the accounts using the "Express Web Connect" connection method in one of the data files, then select "Tools" > "Online Center", press the Ctrl and Shift keys while selecting "Update/Send...", select "Reset CC Credentials...", "OK", "OK". You can then renable the "Online Services" for the accounts again.
