Quicken for the Web

OK, admittedly this is a dumb question, but I'm hoping. I see there is now such a product as 'Quicken for the Web'. Where is the data stored?

I currently maintain two separate computers with individual copies of Q, and manually transfer data between local hard-drives when traveling so I am not accessing shared files (like via OneDrive) which is a no-no.

This product might be a good fit for me assuming:

a) The functionality of the web product is at least what the latest of their Windoze product is

b) I'm reasonably satisfied with their level of security of the host data. Ideally, would be encrypted such that only *I* on the PC side of things can decode the data if indeed stored on their end

Instead of xfering data use a memory card which can fit both your desktop and laptop

I found that I tend to forget the damn card when I travel. But that's also a viable method as well.

asks "Where is my data stored?". The answer "Your Quicken data is still stored on your computer." But later, they say they give you 5gig in their cloud for the data and it is "synced". So now I don't get it. I still would want more info on how it is stored, and what type of security measures surround it. To me, this was always the reason I never trusted a cloud-based (or remote) data store in the first place.

Not sure how realistic or useful it would be to have an online app whose data was stored on your home pc. You can just get software that allows you to logon from a remote pc to your home pc and accomplish that.

I'm not selling anything here; just trying to provide information. Frankly, I have little interest in an online Quicken app, including the Mobile app.
