Q2007 Register Appearance

Apr 05, 2008 5 Replies

I just upgraded from 2005 Deluxe to 2007 Deluxe, and am wondering why the first column at the left side of register displays in Q2007 is blank, and has no title? What is its need/use? The program HELP file didn't cover that as far as I could find.

TIA

that is strange. Try going into program preferences>>register and see if changing what is displayed in the register corrects this problem.

Thanks -- I have looked at that, but there is no entry possible there to select or de-select the number of columns in register displays.

I don't think it serves any purpose; I'm not sure it is even intended.

Switch to "two-line display" and it will disappear.

An additional observation.

In Q2008 that column is used to display a graphic "check mark" which indicates the transaction is tax-related (hovering on that check mark displays the Tax Form Line name assigned in the Category List).

The column has no heading in Q2008 either.

Thanks. Strange that Intuit would not correct that in Q2007D program updates. It would be nice to have that space to display more text in the active columns of registers.
