Quicken 2007 registration problem

I've just installed Q2007 Deluxe after uninstalling Q2005 Deluxe. Everything seemed to go smoothly; the existing data files were backed up & converted properly and 2007 is running perfectly so far as I can tell -- EXCEPT that when I attempt to do the online update a screen comes up which says that I have to register the program. When I proceed a blank registration window opens and just sits there. If I close it I can proceed to the online update, but I never get the opportunity to register and get rid of the prompt. Any suggestions gratefully accepted. My Q2005 was, of course, properly registered.

Tried that & it doesn't work. I get the same blank "Welcome to Quicken registration" window. Perhaps the web site is down -- IE7 shows "done" in the lower left corner of the window. Nothing beyond that happens -- the window just looks at me as stupidly as I look at it.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Aha!. If you press CTRL-SHIFT while clicking on "Online" from the menu bar you get a screen which says you won't be prompted for registratiion anymore -- and sure enough, you aren't. I got this tip from Intuit telephone support without any hassle about the fee or whatever.

I'm happy to report that Q2007D is running for me without problem on Vista RTM, the 32-bit version.

Good wishes to all.

I never would have guessed you were running under Windows Vista. Maybe THAT was the culprit.
