Q2010 - Year-End Copy?

I'm using Quicken 2010 and am having a problem creating my year-end copy. Basically, I want to create a file containing the 2008 transactions only and leaving the transactions from 1/1/2009 forward in my current/active file.

I went to year-end copy and created the 2008 transactions file (left "current data file" as "do nothing" and under "Archive Data File", gave the 2008 file a name and with an end date of 12/31/2008. Good so far! The 2008 file was created containing only the 2008 transactions.

Then, I got stuck on how to remove the 2008 transactions from my current file so it contains only transactions from 1/1/2009 forward. What are the steps to do this?

Thanks for any advice/suggestions on this final step.

An update to my previous question is below:

I'm using Quicken 2010 and am having a problem creating my year-end copy. Basically, I want to create a file containing the 2008 transactions only and leaving the transactions from 1/1/2009 forward in my current/active file.

I went to year-end copy and created the 2008 transactions file (left "current data file" as "do nothing" and under "Archive Data File", gave the 2008 file a name and with an end date of 12/31/2008. Good so far! The 2008 file was created containing only the 2008 transactions.

Then I went back to File/Year-End Copy and under "Current Data File" I indicated to retain only entries after 1/1/2009 in the current file. Ran that and opened the file to find that there were a number of transactions (10-12) from 2008 still in the current file. The transactions appear to be transfers from my Home Equity Line of Credit to the Checking account. The transactions were reconciled, so am not sure why they are still there when other 2008 transactions are gone.

So, I am stuck on how to remove these 2008 transactions from my "current" File.

Thanks for any advice/suggestions on this final step.
