Q2007 - Year End Copy Problem

I'm having a problem with Quicken 2007 Year End Copy Procedure. The procedure is not removing old records from my current file.



Current File: XXX - records from1/1/03 to 3/14/08



No Year End Copy Backup file for it (XXXBKP)



Run Year End Copy and provide start date for Current File (XXX) as



1/1/07: Results after Year End Copy finishes:

XXX - Current File - records from 1/1/03 - 3/14/08



XXXBKP - records from 1/1/03 - 12/31/07



What am I doing wrong in this procedure? I ran validate and SuperValidate prior to the Year End Copy with no Errors reported.

I'm not sure it is worth any attempt to diagnose your specific problem: I believe that Intuit has alreasy acknowledged that this problem exists.

If I'm right: I believe the answer is to use Quicken's "Copy" feature (File > Quicken File Operations < Copy").

I'll give that a shot. I think if I remember correctly, this problem has existed in previous versions of Quicken. One would think Intuit could have solved it by now!
