Year end copy does not seem to work

I haven't used Year End Copy in a long time, and decided to use it to archi ve my data base and start the new year with no transactions any my checking accounts and credit card accounts. (Home and Business 2015)

I reconciled all the accounts, and checked the options in the YEC popup win dow to create an archive file and remove any transactions before 1-1-2018. I say OK and it goes off and churns for a bit, and produces the archive fi le. When I open any of the accounts, all of the transactions are still pre sent in the ledger. Sigh, yet another problem.

I re-validate the data file, and rerun the YEC...same result.

Does anyone know of any solutions to this problem? or any work arounds? Thanks in advance... John

I have tested YEC in multiple Quicken versions (including just now in Q2015 - again) and have never found it not to work according to the rules for removing transactions during a Year End Copy.

Have you read those rules?

Please post in some detail all the steps you took to determine that "all of the transactions are still present in the ledger".

And, is "the ledger" a single Quicken account? If so, does that mean that you have only one Quicken account? If not, what happened with the other Quicken accounts?

Perhaps the issue you are having using Year End Copy is related to the datafile corruption you reported yesterday (Subject: how to transfer all of my existing accounts to a new installation of Quicken).
