It says "two year subscription" for 2018

Are you trying to ask a question or just making an observation?

Yes, it looks like they did change how they are selling their software. Perpetual (classic) to subscription based.

Not necessarily... The subscription may only apply to the Online Services and Support as in prior years.

May be time to pick up a Quicken Deluxe 2017 since it would "expire" at the same time as the 2018.

Interesting - they've added a banner to show it is a 2 year subscription purchase, not a product with indefinite lifetime. They also are only showing Premier, H&B and Starter versions. No mention of Deluxe.

I found the 2017 Deluxe from a reputable seller for under $50. I have aready done the switch from the Intuit ID to the new Quicken ID. How likely is that to have a problem with the upgrade? Q2017 was released before the Quicken ID thing.

I just went back to Amazon and found Qu icken Deluxe 2018 - Personal Finance & Budgeting Softwar e [Amazon Exclusive 27-month membership]

It's $89.99 on Amazon and only $49.99 on Quicken.com. The $49.99 is

for one year. But Amazon's two year price saves you only $10, so it's probably worth the buying the one year vers ion from Quicken and buying it new again next year.

B ecause the improvements from one year to the next have al most always been very slight, I've been buying only ever y other year's version, but I looks like I'll now have t o go buying it annually. I didn't want to do this, but o n the other hand $49.99 isn't a fortune.

I just placed my order at Amazon for the 27 month subscription to Quicken Premium. I admit that I am an easy mark for Quicken Inc.

I am not certain, but it appears that I will be allowed to install the software on Apple Mac as well as Microsoft Windows. That will be interesting. I hope that the Mac version of Quicken will eventually be as good as the Windows version.

Thanks to all of you for posting info about Quicken 2018.

And I just bought Quicken 2017 Delux, whihc is good for three yeras, for $42. Since changes generally are slight and I don't use if for anything but checking and credit cards, this was the best deal for me. And it's been out long enough to be pretty bug free.
