Question about downloaded transactions...

After a rebuild of my computer due to a trojan, and a re-install of Quicken 2007, I ended up with over 4700 downloaded transactions showing up that are already in the register, covering the period since

1999 for one of the accounts.

I do not need any of those transactions, as I've already added all of the transactions to bring the account up to date and in balance. These are showing as QIF transactions... How do I get rid of the almost 5000 transactions without having to edit/delete them one at a time? Is there a way? I am running Quicken 2007...

TIA

Are these QIF files in a back up folder? Before the crash did you routinely delete old QIF files? Are they Dated?

Keep the newest ones.

If I was sure of just what you have there, I would delete them. Not one at a time. Select the oldest one then go down to the bottom of the page use SHIFT>LEFT CLICK. That high lights the whole page. Press delete.

This puts them in the recycle bin.
