Cannot retreive downloaded transactions - Locked Flags

Am using Quicken Deluxe 2007 Release R4, Windows 2000, and Pocket Quicken to connect with a Palm PDA. There is no problem with Customer ID or Password as these work fine on Bank?s Internet site.

On my main Quicken screen I have flags showing downloaded transactions on two bank accounts from same institution. If I click on the flag to show the transactions nothing happens i.e. transactions don?t show. ?Downloaded Transactions on account pages show (0)?.

Have copied datafile, used test file and tried other normal troubleshooting procedures. Downloads work on ?test ? and ?new? files suggesting bank connection is OK.

In basic QDATA1 file, if I try to ?deactivate/reactivate? which has previously worked to clear a problem I get a message stating: ?Quicken cannot edit (BankName-A/C name) because there are downloaded transactions that must be accepted into the account register or transaction list. Finish accepting the downloaded transactions and try again.

The problem is that I cannot ?finish accepting the downloaded transactions because clicking the flags to show and accept them doesn?t work. There are downloaded transactions waiting to be accepted as when I go into the banks web page directly (not through Quicken) I can see the transactions.

How can I remove these flags or see the downloaded transactions in Quicken?

A flag can also mean that you have checks wanting to be printed. Look in the check number field for "print" and clear those values.

Hello Thomas;

Wow, I just logged-on to post "Almost" the exact same problem...! I'm using Q 2007 Premier R4, and Vista Ultimate. I have the flags showing for three accounts and the downloaded transactions on the account pages also show (0). I've completed the same trouble shootings steps as you with the same results as yours. I tried going into Online -> Online Centre and can see the downloaded transactions, but when I click compare to register, nothing happens. You might want to see if this works for you.

Here is why I say "almost" the exact same problem...this only happens to me when I run Quicken in Vista. I'm still dual booting with XP. If I run Quicken in XP, I can see the transactions...! I thought it might be a directory/file permissions issue, but I've checked all the permissions in Vista..

This only seems to happen with Downloaded Transactions, Scheduled Transaction show/display fine.

Anyone suggestions on how to fix this..?

TIA
