Quicken 2007 Crash - Missing Downloaded Transactions

May 02, 2007 2 Replies

I know this has been covered in the past, but have been unable to find this precise situation while searching archives.

Did One-Step Update this morning with no problems. Before reconciling all downloaded transactions, went to Credit Union account to update that as well (won't work under One-Step Update, WebConnect instead). When WebConnect started, got the "updating Windows Installation" message and Quicken closed.

Tried to re-open Quicken and it said I needed to reinstall. Reinstalled (used repair option).

Quicken now opens, but shows that I have downloaded transactions for three accounts. No transactions appear in the Downloaded Transactions window of course.

What is the best way to clear this out? Deactivate/Reactivate download for all affected accounts?

Thanks! Deb

But I would consider not doing step 9 as described, and postponing steps 10/11. Instead, I would download the manual updates for Q2007 from Intuit; and apply the R4 patch manually; then run Quicken, etc..

However, it did the trick, although I did have a bad moment when Quicken refused to open completely (kept hanging when I tried to open my file). Clicked on my Quicken file to open it which worked and it's fine now.

Thanks again .. much appreciated!
