What bank do you use? Are you using Online Banking Booster or One Step Update?

The bank is TD Canada Trust, I've tried TD Waterhouse which is listed but it doesn't work.

I do the download from the bank's website which creates a QFX (web connect) now called OFX file, which can be 'imported' into quicken but unlike QIF cannot be pointed to an account.

TD Canada Trust definitely works with Web Connect, because I've done it before. I also had no trouble linking the download to my account. However, I've not used Q2007. I use 2005.

So, it's either a bug in 2007, or there's something wrong with your setup.

I thought that Quicken would only download from fi's for the same country as the Quicken version. If true, and the op has the US version of Quicken, is there any expectation of downloading from a Canadian fi?

As potentially corroborating evidence, the op says the fi is not in the Q2007 Participating Financial Institutions List ... which is almost certain to mean that no download is possible.

Have I forgotten something?

Good point, John. I just assumed he was using Canadian Quicken. Canadian Quicken supports downloads from US$ bank accounts, as long as they're at a Canadian bank.

But if he's using US Quicken, that's the problem.

Yes, I am using Q2007 Deluxe since we were forced by Intuit to buy it or lose online services.

I read about OLBB (booster) on the Canadian Quicken site and from what I can see it is not in any of the US versions .. I do remember that earlier versions had Canadian content in fact my first DOS version in the early 90,s was given to me by a Canadian friend.

Q2007 does not support QIF for checking anymore so I have to create a QIF, import into my house or car account, then 'cut' the transactions & paste them into the checking a/c .. as for TD Canada trust it creates an OFX with no FI so it's useless.

I have many issues with Intuit even to the point of looking at MS Money, but reading the forum posts it's even worse than Quicken.

If it's any consolation, I use the Canadian version of Quicken

With all those transactions already entered and marked, I lost track of where I was in relation to the items in my bank book. (I confuse easily.)

I cancelled the online service and have reverted, happily, to doing it manually.

Yes, I absolutely agree, Quicken as I have dubbed Slowen over the years, about 15 in my case, has got steadily worse .. things that were easy are now so complex it's not worth the effort.

I recently set up some online payments as 'scheduled' and must have innnocently checked 'recurring payment' .. HELL followed where I had payments generated 2 months out for the same amount. I went to each bank site and cancelled the 'pending payments' and spent another hour getting rid of everything in Quicken (not easy).

I'm not sure who Quicken is intended for but I have found that most 'simple' things I want to do are incredibly complex.
