Quicken 2004 (US) to Quicken XG 2005 (Canadian)

I've just moved and upgraded my Quicken - primarily to access Canadian banks. When I read in my old US file of many years the categories' linkages to tax forms changed as the 2 countries have different forms and line numbers. The problem is that the changes are just plain weird - Medical supplies going from a US Medical worksheet to "income gained from the sale of swine"?!?!?!

I *may* have manually corrected them all, but I wonder if there might not be a better way. Does anyone have any advice before I end up with too many new transactions to ever choose another path? Anyone else travel this road before me with advice on gotchas that haven't yet got me?

Dave

I'm not surprised you got the results you did. Actually, I'm impressed you can convert between country versions of Quicken.

Quicken associates tax items with their line number. So line xxx in the US return is Medical expenses, but it's pig sales in Canada.

I would just make the corrections manually. I don't see any other choice, or any problems in doing so.
