Quicken 2005 wont connect online

I have tried connecting online to 2 different banks, BofA and Patelco, with Quicken 2005 and get rejected on both, when both online accounts work fine manually connecting through IE browser.

Each time I get OL-301-A error

Is Quicken 2005 totally FUBAR or does it only work with a select few banks?

And to add to the aggravation, Quicken 2005 no longer allows using the fallback of QIF files! argggg

No.

Immaterial. Don't know how you define "few", but Q2005, and every version since Q2001, work fine with BofA.

I meant to add that there might be an exception for the R4 release of Q2005; I only vaguely remember possibly reading about a download problem, but due to some other reported problem with R4, I did not upgrade to R4 and can not give any first hand info. I have no trouble with downloads from any fi using R3. You can easily revert to test this. Download the manual updates from Intuit's site; reinstall Q2005 and update thru R3.

I started using Quicken a few weeks ago and I also had trouble with BofA. I could get on line with them OK and download to Quicken but not from Quicken. The solution was to call the Bank. They were very helpful and even got my Business and several personal accounts working together.
